HOW TO APPLY
Friends of Chislehurst Recreation Ground would love you and your business to join the fun at our 2017 Chislehurst Rocks festival. Our festival has a good mix of food, drink, activities and merchandise for sale with a 2016 attendance of over 4,000. We distribute approximately 1,500 programmes prior to and at the festival where you can also place an advert.
A stall is where you will sell your brilliant merchandise, food or drink or tell people about your amazing business! A single standard pitch is 3m x 3m and will be held for a deposit of £25. Multiple pitches are possible for multiple deposit amounts. Balance of 20% of takings is due at the end of the event less your deposit amount.
A workshop is where you give a taster demonstration, class or workshop for free a few times on the festival day. Providing a workshop will give you great publicity and connect you with the people who are interested in your classes or service! Your free sessions will help develop your audience and promote your business. Workshops are generally free of charge, but all other stall rules (form, public liability insurance and any other certificate or licenses appropriate to your business) will apply.

Remember that it is first come, first served for each type of stallholder / workshop - whoever gets their application, payment and paperwork completely in to us first, gets in. Please share this information with anyone who you think would add to our festival event.
If you are new to Chis Rocks! this year, please complete the only enquiry form.
Once we have confirmed that you can attend Chis Rocks!, you must complete this form and attach all relevant paperwork (insurance, certificates, licenses as appropriate for your stall) by Friday, 12 May 2017 at the latest:
- Form with paperwork attached;
- Deposit payment - invoices will be issued for all payments received. See application for payment details.
All relevant paperwork for your stall (insurance, certificates, licenses as appropriate for your stall) can include:
- Public Liability Insurance - all stallholders/workshop providers,
- Risk Assessment - all stallholder/workshop providers.
- Hygiene certificates - all food & drink providers,
- H&S/Council registration - all food & drink providers,
- PAT testing - for all electrical equipment,
- Gas safety certificate - for all gas equipment,
- Adips - Fairground and amusement rides.

Access instructions on festival day
We have 25-50 stalls to get onto the field at Walden Recreation Ground between 7-10 am on festival morning so please arrive early & be patient while we show each stallholder to their particular site. You must stay at the site that we allocate to you. Access will be denied to any one who has not paid their deposit or have their paperwork completed an up-to-date.
Ensure that you arrive via the only access point to this event on Victoria Road, just off White Horse Hill (A208) in Chislehurst, BR7 6DE. This street will run one-way only throughout the event.
The festival lasts from 11 am - 9 pm. We expect stallholders to stay though the event and clear all rubbish from their site. You must contact a marshal before you leave to pay the balance of your charge (20% of takings less your £25 deposit) and to get an escort for any vehicles/heavy equipment.
