Playing original, raw, atmospheric alt-pop, Gwen and the Good Thing mixes soul-stirring vocal harmonies with euphoric brass. Think Sia meets Florence + The Machine. Expect anthemic choruses, infectious rhythms and uplifting guitars. Analogue pop music for the digital age.

Picked to play the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2016, the 6-piece Milton Keynes-based band specialises in dynamic and unique songs – Gwen’s soaring vocals interlocking with a fresh musical palette of trombone, clarinet, trumpet, sax and synth. A Kickstarter crowd-funded success story, their debut single ‘See My Girl’ was BBC Introducing Track Of The Week on BBC 3 Counties Radio and picked for both the Unsigned Guide’s Spotlight blog and for Best of British Unsigned.

Danny Wright

Main Stage 1:55pm

Danny Wright is a true artist, who has previously fronted the successful Reading-based rock bands We Are Lost Boys (2010 - 2014) and DissolvedIN (2007- 2010). After conquering the rock world, Danny decided it was time to introduce himself to the world of pop music and immediately found himself working alongside acts such as Cheryl Cole, Ellie Goulding, Olly Murs, and Tulisa in his quest to pursue his career in music.

Danny's next band was We Are Lost Boys. Their hit debut single 'Tired and Lonely' was voted Kerrang's 'Video of the week', and saw the band tour across sold-out o2 Academy venues within the UK. It was shortly after the success of both We Are Lost Boys and DissolvedIN that Danny's passion for song-writing and performing really began to solidify. Now with his first ever solo project in full swing, Danny promises to deliver a real arsenal of relatable life stories through his hard-hitting yet catchy music, which delves deep into his personal experiences of life, his fear of growing up, and the pursuit of chasing dreams.

The Crooked Kings

Main Stage 12:35pm

The Crooked Kings play grinding jams, tinged with bluesy rock and an energetic modern twist. They're not just a band, they're a family of renegades. Their support for each other is clear and their friendship entwined in their survival on music. They spend their time gigging, writing, playing and enjoying a life on the road.

This is a band that ooze the rock & roll mythology, the type that reminds you that this gritty genre of dirty guitars, thumping bass lines and banging drums may fade from the mainstream from time to time, but it will never die. With a new band like this on the scene, that sentiment is brought home loud and clear. The Crooked Kings, with their
unique style, modernize rock and bring it to life.
