What changes affect Chislehurst Rocks this year?

In order to keep all of our visitors safe, and to comply with licensing conditions, a number of additional new rules and enhanced security procedures will be in place. Visitors who have attended Chislehurst Rocks in the past can expect to see the following changes:

  • No Alcohol is permitted to be brought into the Event Grounds or Surrounding Area

  • No Liquids (including Water/Soft Drinks) are permitted to be brought into the Event Grounds

  • No Glass is permitted to be brought onsite (including perfume bottles and drinkware)

  • No Sharps/Knives are permitted to be brought onsite (including sharp or metal picnic knives/cutlery sets, bottle openers and corkscrews)

  • Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult whilst at Chislehurst Rocks!

  • At busy periods, there may be a queue to enter the event due to the enhanced security procedures

  • A suggested donation of £3 per person (or £10 for a family of four) will be welcomed on the door

  • Increased Uniformed Security and Safety Personnel at the event

  • Fully-Fenced Event Grounds

  • Access via manned Security Checkpoint with Bag Search

  • No Suitcases or Large Bags will be allowed onsite - there are no cloakroom facilities

  • Gazebos and Tents cannot be brought onsite, and windbreaks etc. cannot be pegged into the ground due to the smaller footprint of the venue and safety concerns

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Due to licencing conditions, no alcohol or liquids will be permitted to be brought onsite.
Our security team will be conducting bag searches and any alcohol or liquids found will need to be discarded or returned to your home/car.
We will have a number of bars on the day selling reasonably priced alcoholic drinks including beer, wine, spirits and cocktails alongside a selection of non-alcoholic soft drinks and water.
A Challenge 25 policy will be in operation at all bars onsite.

What can’t I bring to the event?

The following items are restricted and not permitted at Chislehurst Rocks for your own safety and the safety of others:

  • Alcohol in any container

  • Liquids in any container

  • Aerosols

  • Glass in any form (including perfume bottles and jars)

  • Bladed or Sharp Items (including Penknives, Knives, Metal Cutlery Sets, Bottle Openers and Corkscrews)

  • Gazebos, Large Tents, Parasols and Windbreaks

  • Firearms and Imitation Weapons

  • Illegal Drugs, Controlled Substances or Balloons

  • Large Bags and Suitcases

  • Weapons

  • Scooters and Bikes - please leave them at home or lock them up at public cycle stands on Chislehurst High Street

  • Camping Stoves, BBQs, Fireworks and Flares

  • Any other items the Security Team deam hazardous

Our security team will be conducting bag searches and restricted items found will need to be discarded or returned to your home/car. There are no cloakroom or locker facilities on site.

What can I bring to the event?

Although entry requirements are more stringent than previous years you are welcome to bring:

  • Folding Chairs if you don’t want to sit on the ground.

  • Freestanding small childrens’ pop-up tents and sun shelters - however no gazebos, large tents, windbreaks or parasols. Tents cannot be secured or pegged into the ground.

  • Appropriate Clothing for the weather - sun cream and umbrellas!

  • Your dog! Well-behaved dogs, kept on a lead at all times, are welcomed at Chislehurst Rocks. Please ensure you bring dog waste bags and dispose of them responsibly. Free clean drinking water will be available at the main bar free of charge.

  • Suitable Footwear for grass and uneven pathways.

  • Credit/Debit Cards or Cash to buy food and drinks from the bars and stalls.

  • A Friendly Disposition! Make friends with those around you and look out for each other.
